'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stocking's were hung by the chimmney with care,
In hopes that St.Nicholas soon would be there.

The doggies were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of cookies danced in their heads.
And momma in her nighty and I in my sweats,
Had just settled down and began to relax.

When in the other room we heard such a clatter,
We sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
When what to our wonderous eyes should appear,
Electra in labor and a puppy was near.

With a quick little push and lots of care,
Out came the first, tiny and dear.
More rapid then normal they came
We just couldn't help but to call out their names.

When the night started to change,
Six little puppies were all arranged.
Two little boys and 4 little girls,
We were so happy we shined like pearls.

The sight of the babies was such a thrill,
Such a beautiful litter I started to get chills.
I said to my mom, As I saw a future so very bright,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
